Garrett doesn’t always speak in third-person, but when he does, it’s while writing a bio in order to make it look like someone said something interesting about him. Growing up in Southern California, Garrett first got into photography while taking photos of his friends surfing. This became even more addicting for him than the actual surfing was and lead him to pursue the art professionally. He enrolled in Brooks Institute of Photography (R.I.P.) and took a more non-traditional route by majoring in Industrial / Scientific instead of the normal Commercial or Portraiture. Basically wanting to blow stuff up and take photos of bullets frozen in time. These specialized classes helped develop new ways of seeing light and details that often get overlooked. Now focusing his craft in the worlds of sports, fitness, and lifestyle visuals he’s cultivated a reputation for conjuring organic, unscripted moments of beauty and movement.
